Notes from the manufacturer:
Beer is fantastic (when consumed responsibly) and is brewed using 4 main ingredients; Water, Grain, Hops & Yeast. It’s fascinating to see the variety of beers being produced by breweries, whether it’s a tropical hop heavy IPA or a rich caramel stout, the 4 fundamental ingredients remain the same.
There is however, one other ingredient which is added to your favourite beers that you might not have thought about – Gas!
Altering the mixture of gas can have a significant effect on the mouthfeel of the end product, carbon dioxide adds that refreshing fizz you enjoy on a summers day, where a higher nitrogen content produces a higher quantity of smaller bubbles, producing a smooth and creamy mouthfeel.
Gas has a significant effect on the end product and enhances the overall experience you have when consuming a nice beer from your favourite brewers. That’s why we consider Hobbybrew to be the “5th ingredient”, because… who wants a flat pint?
