Althea is a modern American Pale Ale. Unlike many pales, Althea is low on bitterness, yet massively hoppy on the aroma.

Named after one of our head brewer’s favourite Grateful Dead songs; Althea is a beer that can be enjoyed by the pint or by the glass!

Aroma: Tropical fruits, such as peach, mango, and papaya.

Flavour: Rich but restrained malty graininess, overshadowed by fruity hop flavours.

Food pairings: Chicken, Lamb, and other light meats.

Speciality Malts: Golden Promise, Vienna, Melanoidin

Hops: Citra, Amarillo, Simcoe

ABV: 4.8%

Bitterness: 48 IBUs

Brewed by:
Galway Bay Brewery, Lower Earlsfort Terrace, Saint Kevin's, Dublin.

Ballpark your delivery fee before you order

How does the gear come back?

Just the first 3 characters are enough.

Covers all 139 Eircode routing keys.

Pick a destination above and estimate the fee.

How this is calculated

If we collect the gear after your rental: within 20km of the depot, a flat €50 delivery + €50 collection; beyond 20km, €1.125 per kilometre of the full round trip.

If you drop it back yourself: within 20km, a flat €50 delivery only; beyond 20km, €1.125 per kilometre of the one-way trip.

A minimum delivery fee of €50 per leg always applies, however short the trip works out.

Straight-line distance from the depot is multiplied by 1.3 to approximate real road distance.
