Why is this necessary?

From the supplier:
"Supplied with beer tap, CO2 line, CO2 tee joint and Type A keg connector. Pressure regulator and dispensing gas not included. We highly recommend only qualified people set up this unit."

As shown in the diagram (image 2), the parts usually supplied with this fridge are either not standard in Ireland, or are not included as part of the bundle. This includes:

1. "Beer Keg (Not supplied)" - We can sort you out! Browse from our full range and simply add to your cart.
   
2. "Type A Keg Connector" - Most often used for Belgian and German beers. We have all other coupler savailble - including U-Type (Diageo) and S-Type (Heineken).
   
   
3. "Beer Line" - The fridge comes with PVC tubing and US fittings. We supply standard 3/8 and 5/16 pipe as well as patented John Guest fittings.
   
   
4. "Beer Tower" (and tap) - The US style tap included will not produce a perfect pint! We provide an elegant chrome tap, complete with pub-style handle and thumb control to slow down the flow rate (which you will need to do fo lagers/ales/ciders etc.!) and a removable nozzle which allows you to pour stout.
   
   
5. - 10. "Co2 Line (Not supplied), Tee Joint for Co2 Lines, Co2 Regulator (Not supplied), Co2 Cylinder (Not supplied), Co2 Line #1, Co2 Line #2" - We use mixed gas in Ireland. Primarily 75/25 and 50/50. These take a different thread size to 100% Co2 bottles. We provide the gas regulator, gas line and the gas cylinder itself (option to add to cart).
